Hyatt Regency hotel planned for Moscow
BY Pete Hayman

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced that one of the hospitality group's affiliates has signed a management agreement for a new Regency-branded property in Moscow, Russia.

The 297-bedroom Hyatt Regency Moscow is to launch in 2015 as part of the wider Arena Park redevelopment, which also includes the new Dynamo Stadium in Petrovsky Park.

Facilities at the SPEECH Tchoban/Kuznetsov-designed hotel will include a spa; a fitness centre; four food and beverage areas; and meeting and ballroom space. Further details are yet to be confirmed.

Peter Norman, senior vice president of acquisitions and development for Hyatt International - EMEA, said Moscow has "strong appeal" to both business and leisure travellers.

"We are reinforcing our commitment to becoming the most preferred hotel brand for customers visiting this gateway market," said Norman.

VTB Arena Park director Andrei Peregoudov added: "Among all the offerings at the sports and entertainment complex, Hyatt Regency Moscow will be an especially great addition to the area."
